Good news! The achievements of the Youweixin UV LED project have won the second prize of the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award!

Recently, the People's Government of Hubei Province announced the list of winners for the 2024 Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Award. Among them, Wuhan Youweixin Technology Co., Ltd. and Huazhong University of Science and Technology jointly applied for the "Key Technologies and Applications of Semiconductor High Efficiency UV LED Chips" project, which won the second prize of the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

The project aims to study the key technologies and applications of semiconductor high-efficiency ultraviolet LED chips, promote breakthroughs in key technologies such as material epitaxial growth, chip preparation, device packaging, and light source integration, and develop semiconductor high-efficiency ultraviolet LED materials, chips, devices, and high-performance integrated light sources. After appraisal, this achievement has high technical difficulty, strong innovation, independent intellectual property rights, and controllable technology. It has significantly promoted the large-scale application of ultraviolet LED devices in China, and the overall level has reached the international advanced level. Among them, the high-efficiency ultraviolet LED chip light output control technology and high-power ultraviolet LED packaging technology have reached the international leading level. The project achievements have been successfully transformed and applied in high-end products of leading enterprises in various industries and in national defense science and technology, promoting the innovative development of new quality productivity.
