When the water tank was filled with pure water for testing, the total bacterial count in the water tank increased from 5 CFU / ml to 106 CFU / ml after three days of storage, which exceeded the hygienic standard of drinking water. With the passage of time, the total bacterial count will continue to rise.

Filter type reverse osmosis water purifier



The purified water from the outlet end of RO membrane to the tap has to pass through the post activated carbon filter and water pipe and other wading materials. The granular activated carbon material can promote the growth of bacteria and aggravate the microbial pollution.

In an experiment, five prototype 600 g filter ro machines were used for testing. After the machines were placed for 12 hours (simulated overnight), there was no sterilization treatment. The first cup of 500 ml water was picked up after the machine was turned on. It was found that the total bacterial count of three machines exceeded the hygienic standard of drinking water, and the total bacterial count of one prototype exceeded 538 CFU / ml.
